Blackout incidents will negatively impact any economy and threaten public safety. Energy storage is regarded as an essential solution to make any power grid more reliable and more flexible, which can be achieved through time shifting, load leveling, smoothing wind/solar output and regulating the frequency etc. Narada energy storage technology relies on patented long-cycle life OPzV/REX series batteries and excellent LiFePO4 lithium battery technology, advanced battery pack technology and intelligent battery management system technology which can offer a wide variety of solutions from large-scale energy storage system solution (ESS, up to MW) to home energy storage system solution (HESS, tens of kilowatts). Narada has completed many successful projects utilizing battery storage solutions from KW to MW in size at home and abroad which covers solar generation, islands generation and also house distributed use.

4.Unique Battery thermal management technology

According to aerodynamics and hydrodynamics theory, Narada has designed a unique thermal control system model for batteries. The model has been extensively tested, by carrying out lots of temperature analysis experiments, to make sure optimization and uniformity for each unit in the energy storage system is guaranteed.

Landmark 1 – Germany PCR BESS Project

Project Brief

• BESS Power Capacity in Total: 50 MW          

• Market Brief: ENTSO (includes Germany, France, Netherlands,  Switzerland, Austria, Belgium) PCR market is a mature ancillary   service market with 3000MW/Week demand presently. BESS is a more efficient,cost effective, environmental-friendly and fast-     response solution for PCR comparing with traditional generation units.

• Application: Frequency Regulation, Arbitrage

Project Benefits

• Balancing the frequency (+200mHz) when deviation happens 

• TSOs buy power to balance frequency on weekly tendering 

• Project Income: Average 3000 - 4000€/MW/Week with increasing trend due to more renewables interconnection in Europe and Germany

Landmark 2 – China Mobile IDC ESS + Backup Power Service Project

Project Brief

• BESS Energy Capacity in Total: 121.7 MWh          

• Project Significance: A business case transition from supplying products (UPS batteries) to providing Solutions and Services.   It’s a landmark representing Narada “Investment + Operation” business case penetrating into Data Center market. 

• Application:Providing “ESS+Backup Power” service by converting standby application to cyclic application with Narada BESS
